We offer the highest quality pairing with a canine companion that is sure to make your day better! Our successful dating service guarantees you the best date you will ever have!

We house up to 150 dogs between our two facilities and we are sure that we can find the perfect date for you! We have everything from small purse dogs to large muscle dogs - we promise you will find a pup to make your special day even more special! 

You can also pre-select your date on our Adoptable Animals page.  Then all you need to do is come in, complete some paperwork and off you go!

Albany Humane has partnered with Chehaw to allow our daters free admission to the park. Turtle Park in downtown Albany is another favorite spot for our pups. You can also take your date to pet friendly retailers like PetSmart, Tractor Supply, PetSupermarket, Home Depot & Lowe's. We hope you'll stop to treat your date to an ice cream cone at Bruster's or a Puppaccino at Starbucks!

Whether it's for a few hours, a day, or a weekend... doggy dates are a wonderful opportunity for our dogs to get out of the stressful, shelter environment. Time away gives them confidence, brings our their true personality and increases their chance of adoption.

Our first doggy date success story features Axel, a 1 year old bully mix who was turned in to us because he was too hyper. He was overlooked for adoption for months until one of our supporters took him on his first doggy date. This date allowed Axel's true personality to shine through and he was adopted the very next day by someone he met while out and about. How's that for a first date.
